Waltham, Massachusetts – March 12, 2020
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Boston Chapter (SHPE Boston) and National Grid’s Hispanic Professional Organization (HPA) visited Waltham High School as part of their advanced engineering class. The goal of the activity was to expose students to a variety of engineering careers and for them to get an understanding of different engineering roles and responsibilities. The students received a presentation on fundamentals of power grids and how power gets created, transported and finally delivered to homes and businesses. The students were also able to ask questions to the engineers on their career trajectory and daily tasks.
