BOSTON, Massachusetts – June 30, 2017 – The president and vice president of the Boston chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE Boston) visited students at the Roxbury Prep Charter School in Dorchester, MA.
Axel Vigo and Elvia Bautista had the opportunity to talk about their education and career experiences to different groups of 7th and 8th grade students. The students were interested in learning more about how Elvia and Axel had achieved success in their fields, what their day-to-day looks like in their jobs and how they were able to find that coveted work life balance.
The Boston Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE Boston) is a non-profit organization serving the New England area. One of their goals is to educate and spark interest in pre-college students to motivate them to study science and engineering.
