Recipients for both scholarships will be awarded in recognition of their demonstrated passion for technology, academic excellence, and leadership while working to push the software industry forward.

Diversity Conference scholarship

Application Period: March 2, 2017 – May 5, 2017

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be enrolled full time in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico at the time the application is submitted
  • The scholarship is open to students pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field

Details:

  • Recipients receive paid registration to one of the following diversity conferences
    • Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (Oct 4 – 6, 2017 in Orlando, FL)
    • National Society of Black Engineers Conference (Mar 21 – 23, 2018 in Pittsburg, PA)
    • Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Conference (Nov 1 – 4, 2017 in Kansas City, MO)
    • Tapia Conference (Sept 20 – 23, 2017 in Atlanta, GA)
  • Travel, hotel, and meal stipend in the amount of $1,200 USD
  • These funds are not transferable to other individuals

Can high school or community college students apply for either scholarship?

Scholarships are available to students who are currently enrolled at a four-year college or university.

What if I’m a high school senior who has been accepted to a four-year college or university?

Your application will not be considered. In order to be eligible, you must be enrolled full time at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico at the time the application is submitted.

I’m studying at a school outside of the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Am I eligible to apply?

No, you must be attending a college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico in order to be eligible. We do hope to expand our scholarship program in the near future, and encourage you to reach out to your recruiter to express your interest. Can international students apply for scholarships?

Yes, as long as you are currently enrolled at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, and meet our other criteria for scholarship eligibility as described above.

If I want to have my status as an underrepresented minority considered, where do I indicate that in my application?

Both scholarship applications contain an optional field where you can indicate this information.
