SHPE National Elections Reminders
Ballots are were sent out on Friday (April 14th) to all eligible voters. Voters have until 12:01 AM PST on May 9th to cast their ballots.
Eligible voters include all professional and graduate student members as of February 15th. Undergraduate student chapters in good standing as of February 15th will also receive a ballot.
Undergraduate student chapter ballots will be sent to the primary contact’s email address as listed on SHPE Connect.
Ballots sent to undergraduate student chapters will include the National Board, Regional Vice-President, National Undergraduate Representative and Regional Student Representative positions. Similarly, ballots sent to graduate student members will include the National Board, Regional Vice-President, National Graduate Representative and Regional Graduate Representative positions. Professional member ballots will include the National Board and Regional Vice-President positions. Only eligible voters residing in a particular region will be allowed to cast a vote for candidates running for a regional position in that same region.
All eligible voters will also be asked to vote on a proposed amendment to the SHPE bylaws. The proposed amendment changes the name of the Board of Directors to the National Board of Directors as shown on the document posted on the SHPE national elections website.
