Join SHPE Boston for this very interesting presentation on social philanthropy. How does technology accelerate the creation of a non-profit business and its activities? We will cover various case studies and talk about the positive and negative impact that technology and overnight popularity can have on these types of businesses and some of their activities like fundraising.
Alfredo Alvarez will be talking about his experience growing a nonprofit from zero to more than 800 users. Additionally, he will explain how different technologies impacted the journey, positively and negatively. Best practices will be given on preparation for overnight success and sudden changes. Various case studies will also be presented including the cases of ArrancaPR, Resilient Coders and Parachute Teachers on helping communities grow.
This workshop is open to everyone! – members, nonmembers, hispanics and nonhispanics.
