Boston, Massachusetts – December 11, 2015 – The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Boston Chapter held an event to present the topic of creating a startup company. Over 20 professionals were in attendance for this event. Our speaker, Xavier Xicay, explained his path to creating his first startup as well as the challenges and difficulties that this journey entailed.
About Xavier Xicay:
Xavier Xicay is the driving force behind Tuatara Corporation and the current CEO & President. Xavier co-founded the company in 2010 and since then has raised over $3.6 million in private funding, taking Tuatara from development and through market adoption. Simultaneously, Xavier has led the company through the conception, development, and design of GilaPad.com. Xicay has earned a degree in Computer Science from Bunker Hill Community College and a B.A. in Graphic Design from Northeastern University. Prior to the foundation of Tuatara Corporation, Xavier lent out his innovative mind and creative detail to two other technology start ups.
